Our feeder chicks are a variety of breeds; we don't use CornishX or other heavy-breasted breeds, preferring instead to make use of males of egg-laying breeds which otherwise enter the waste stream. This also gives your pets a more natural meat-to-bone ratio, and slower growth means more nutrition per ounce!

Processing is not available on feeder chicks. These will arrive WHOLE, with feathers, feet, head, and all.

Seven-week-old chicks will weigh between 11.0 and 13.0 ounces each. (Photo is not representative of chick size!)

Chicks are humanely euthanized with CO2 (carbon dioxide gas) and frozen whole.
